Reported over on NRN, news that Del Taco is to join the hotly contested fried chicken space. Indeed, Del Taco would be the first fast food Mexican restaurant (with a national footprint) to offer a fried chicken option.
Beginning next week three new items should hit Del Taco menus:
- Crispy Chicken Taco, $1.00
- Crispy Chicken & Fries Box, $4.00 (update: see our review)
- Epic Burrito featuring Fried Chicken and Fresh Guacamole
Del Taco have have been busy of late, launching a range of Epic Burritos, Beyond Meat products, as well as moving over to 100% fresh made in house guacamole. We can’t wait to try out some of their new fried chicken. If you try the new fried chicken dishes before we get our hands on em, let us know in the comments!
