One of THE hot things in fast food world right now are celeb link-ups. Over the past 18 months McDonalds have been the most prominent brand to take this path. A range of co-branded meals have seen the likes of Travis Scott and J. Balvin put their names on special meal deals. The most notable was this meal in partnership with Korean sensations BTS.
Popeyes are now the latest to team up with a famous name, this month offering a Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce. The brand are currently advertising the sauce as the perfect pairing with their all new nuggets – pictured, read our review here – as well as their iconic chicken sandwich.
Via press release the dup confirmed that, “Megan worked closely with the Popeyes culinary team to develop the exclusive Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce, which flaunts a sweet, yet bold flavor with a hint of spice, inspired by Megan’s sassy personality. Made with honey, cider vinegar, and Aleppo pepper, the Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce adds a perfect amount of heat to complement the authentic Louisiana chicken recipe fans know and love.”
Bonus points for fans – Popeyes Rewards members can grab 100 points if they purchase a Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce menu item on the app or online. Also coming with the sauce, this special website with merch.
As with most of these time-limited collaborations, they usually sell fast – so get your skates on if you want to try this one out.
