One popular fast food trend that’s gone seemingly unnoticed by many – fusion dishes. Cases in point? Recently we’ve seen several brands merge popular dishes together to try and entice diners through their doors, such as:
- Del Taco – quesadilla and taco
- SONIC – grilled cheese and cheeseburger
- Taco Bell – fried chicken sandwich and taco
Panera is now the latest brand to join in on the fun with their all new Grilled Mac & Cheese Sandwich; this new menu addition blends together two classics – mac & cheese and the grilled cheese sandwich.
Panera’s cheese creation Panera’s signature Mac & Cheese, which comprises fontina, mozzarella cheeses and Parmesan crisps then sandwiches it all between slices of White Miche, which is then toasted.
The new Grilled Mac & Cheese is priced $10.89 at the locations closest to us in Denver.
