As part of their 2020 holiday campaign, three classics are returning to the El Pollo Loco menu. Each of the items are classic holiday favorites inspired by the companies Mexican roots. The three new menu selection are as follows:
- Holiday Tamale Bowls – A new line of Holiday Tamale Bowls, served on a bed of rice and beans and finished with creamy queso blanco, locally-sourced queso fresco or fresh slices of Hass avocado and chicken tinga. Available in three versions –
- Double Tamale Avocado
- Crispy Tamale & Chicken Tinga
- Loaded Chicken Queso Tamale
- Chicken Pozole Verde – Homemade with fire-grilled pollo and hominy, simmered in a broth of tomatillo, garlic, onion and chilies.
- Mexican Hot Chocolate – Abuelita™ Chocolate, spiced with cinnamon and vanilla, topped with whipped cream and cinnamon sugar.
