In an all new partnership. Chipotle have linked up with pop star Shawn Mendes and the Shawn Mendes Foundation to launch “Wonder Grants” via an all new dish. The program supports “young innovators in sustainability” via guests ordering the all new Shawn Mendes Bowl. The bowl comes with:
- Cilantro-lime cauliflower rice
- Black beans
- Chicken
- Roasted chili-corn salsa
- Romaine lettuce
- Guacamole
The bowl is priced $11.25 at our local Chipotle in Salt Lake City.
For every one of these new bowls sold, Chipotle will donate $1 toward the Shawn Mendes Foundation – their first ever philanthropic link up. As the funded scheme centers around sustainability, the brand also released the “real computed footprint” of the dish which certainly makes for interesting reading compared to the usual caloric content.
The Real Foodprint computed by Chipotle for a Shawn Mendes Bowl is:
- Less Carbon in the Atmosphere
- 1.4 grams
- Gallons of Water Saved
- 1.7 gallons
- Improved Soil Health
- 1.8 sq ft
- Organic Land Supported
- 1 sq ft
- Antibiotics Avoided
- 42.3 milligrams
