First seeing the light of day in 2015, before making national waves in 2016, Taco Bell this month announced the return of the Quesalupa – and with it for 2021 -” 50 percent more cheese inside its famous double-layered shell”.
New to the Quesalupa – a fusion of the Quesadilla and Chalupa? Here’s Taco Bell’s own description of the fan favorite:
The journey of transforming a chalupa to Quesalupa starts with stuffing the famously crispy chalupa shell with a blend of melted pepper jack and mozzarella cheeses from edge-to-edge — the recipe for an epicly cheesy experience. Inside are Taco Bell’s signature flavors including seasoned beef, crispy lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, fresh diced tomatoes and cool reduced fat sour cream.
The Quesalupa is priced $3.49 or $5.99 as part of a combo which comes with the Quesalupa, two Crunchy Tacos and a large fountain drink.
