The Impossible Croissan’wich is one of two new breakfast sandwiches to launch nationwide in the last week. The other is the Impossible Biscuit which we reviewed here. Both cost us $4.49.
The Impossible Croissan’wich is essentially the same makeup as the Biscuit, except here you have a flaky Burger King Croissan’wich bun:
We aren’t massive fans of this Croissan’wich bun to be honest. It’s really buttery and flakey for sure, but it has that processed/industrial butter flavor to the whole affair. It’s a little off putting. This might be your thing, each to their own; we’d choose the Biscuit in a heartbeat though, just saying.
The rest of the sandwich is like the Impossible Biscuit. The egg and cheese are fast food standards and the Impossible sausage patty is a knockout. The texture is meaty and chewy just like the real deal. The taste is almost imperceptibly the same too – lots of breakfast seasonings and a fun black pepper kick too.
You should note that the Impossible sausages are cooked on the same grill as meat based items, so this isn’t really vegan friendly even if you nixed the cheese and egg. BK usually sells breakfast until 10.30 a.m. so go and grab a couple today and let us know what you think in the comments!
