Update February 22nd 2021: we got our hands on all three of the new sandwiches and tested them all out in detail. Read the full review and story here.
You might recall that last November we wrote about McDonald’s and their plans to improve their offering in the fried chicken wars. Well, in news this week, the Golden Arches announced not one, but three brand new chicken sandwiches for 2021. Suffices to say, a lot of heads have been turned. Here’s the full new lineup:
McDonald’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich
McDonald’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich
McDonald’s Deluxe Chicken Sandwich
This handsome looking threesome should be hitting the menu nationwide beginning on February 24th. Notes from McDonald’s release have the following sandwich specs:
- Crispy Chicken Sandwich – topped with crinkle cut pickles and served on a new toasted, buttered potato roll
- Spicy Chicken Sandwich – served with a Spicy Pepper Sauce and crinkle cut pickles on a toasted potato roll
- Deluxe Chicken Sandwich – served with shredded lettuce, Roma tomatoes and mayo.
There’s no word yet on what might happen to the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich or the Hot N Spicy McChicken – but we really hope that the dollar budget special doesn’t go away – that’s maybe our favorite budget buy on any fast food menu! Whatever the overall menu plans, get your diaries out now, you might recall that last years Spicy McNuggets sold out in no time at all.
